Helen Armstrong Obituary

ARMSTRONG, Helen Helen S. Armstrong, 79, of Summerville, widow of John Harry Hutson, died Wednesday morning, May 11, 2005 at her residence. A memorial service will be held Monday, May 16, 2005 at 2 o'clock at the residence, 1220 Azalea Drive, Summerville. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Palmetto Health Hospice, 1815 Old Trolley Road, Summerville, SC 29485. Mrs. Armstrong was born April 10, 1926 in Ridgeland, SC; a daughter of the late Oliver Harry Smith and Letha Cook Smith Ahrens. She attended schools in Washington, DC. She was a retired merchant. Surviving are one daughter, Deborah A. "Debi" Bennett of Summerville; grandson, Dustin R. "Dusty" Stone of Floyd, VA; great-granddaughter, Kierstin Stone of Floyd, VA; one sister, Mary Frances Roundtree of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by her daughter, Cherry Ann Armstrong.
