As former neighbors and friends of George and Janice in Spartanburg,SC, we are very distressed to hear this tragic news.

All of you are in our thoughts and prayers, and we will continue to keep in close touch with you.

Dear Michael and Family. I knew Heidi from real estate and the dermatologist's office. I thought she was one of the sweetest people I've met. I'm sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

I have been following your ordeal for several months. I saw bits and pieces of this story on several friends' Facebook pages. It was all too real for me as my wife Frances became quite sick eight years ago. Please know that I truly care about you and what you are going through. It is indescribable. Few understand the conflicting feelings, the turmoil, and the pain. My heart aches for you in this situation. I am Perrin Powell's sister and he wanted me to tell you also how sorry he was to hear about Heidi. He remembers her from when she was one of his students at Pine Street. I came to your home one time when I was visiting in Spartanburg. Anyway, I knew Heidi from St. Andrew's, DNG, and Mt. Pleasant Dermatology. She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed.

As I sit here and read Heidi's obituary and read the comments of her friends, I still can't believe she's gone. I am so sad. I only heard she was sick last Friday, and got a card out to her Monday as soon as I could get her address, heard even then she was so weak... I am so sad. I will truly miss her bright smile, quick laugh, sweet spirit. She was such a beautiful person - inside and out. Michael and Holbrooks, you are all in my prayers. I am so sorry for your loss.

It seems like yesterday that Heidi and Andrea were staying with us when we were all getting settled in Spartanburg and I have truly missed our seeing each other as often.

In 1979 it was my good luck that Heidi & Carolyn lived at 2 Bull Street when I was at 65 Coming Street where our porches sort of faced one another. She was always such a positive person and a joy to be around. It was also my good fortune to run into her every few years around town. There must be so many lives made better for having known her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her loved ones. God will love how she brightens heaven even more.

Heidi always had the biggest smile and fun loving laugh every time we were together. I am so sad and will miss her greatly. God bless Michael

Heidi was a wonderful, loving person! She always made me laugh in high school and college. Was very saddened to her of her passing away! May her memory be eternal and may her family have peace and hope, that only the Holy Spirit can provide knowing she is not in pain or sorrow any longer.

It was with great sadness to hear about Heidi's passing. Walking into the doctors office and leaving Heidi was always a ray of hope and smiles and encouragement. It was a true joy going to appointments just to talk to Heidi about family, friends, and life for a few moments. She showed genuine concern for everyone she met and you knew it was heart felt. May God be with her family during this time and know that she touched many people in her day to day walk with God.
