And you know in your hearts you did everything you could have done. I know Becca will miss her Mom and Dad very much. But they are together now. (This is a poem I made the day my auntie Heather died, I love and miss her very much.)

-A Darkness, a cloak of sorrow blinds me from the light.

-A Splash, I hear the thunder of crashing waves and menacing tides.

-A Silence, I cry out, no one answers.

-An Emptiness, it cuts through me like a blade.

-A Coldness, my limbs grow numb and lifeless.

-A Light, I see it, faintly it calls out to me.

-A Voice, I open my eyes.

-A Warmth, it feeds my dying heart.

-A Resurrection, I walk towards the light.

-A Hand, comes from the light, reaching for my soul. I fall into it.

-A Love, brings me forth from the darkness to start anew.

-A Life, I wish to remember.

~In loving memory of Heather Lynn Lee and her family.~

Dear Alkire Family, My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of loss. It of course has been forever in a day since I last saw Heather as a little girl. I know how much time my sister, Michele, use to spend at your home so I know your loss has been a loss for our family as well. May God, The Father, continue to hold you in His hands and provide you with the comfort and guidance you need. Kelly, my heart aches for you, wish we could be there with you as you were for us when we lost Eric. I don't know what I'd do if I lost my little sister. Be strong, have faith and rejoyce in knowing Heaven awaits us all. God Bless you all. Colleen

I will miss Heather greatly. Some of my most hilarious, yet wonderful times of my teenage years are remembered with Heather and my cousin, Charyl. She had and always will be the funniest and spiritful person I have ever known. You will be greatly missed Heather, even though I always got into trouble with you and Charyl. My heart goes out to her daughter, Rebecca, and her entire family. We have all lost a great treasure. I love you Heather. Rest in peace mud girl. Annie

Dearest Alkire/Kirkpatrick Family, My heart is simply overwhelmed with emotions about Heather's passing. I can close my eyes and see her as that annoying little sister of Kellie's....always bothering us...LOL Since your home was my second home growing up....I feel the loss as I would my own little sister. I do rejoice ; however, with the thoughts of Heather no longer suffering the pains and illness of this world. Rich and Nancy, I love you both and I pray for you all and Becca....may God give you HIS grace, strength and hope for brighter tomorrows. God bless you all. Michele xoxox

Heather was the sister of my daughter Micheles very best friend, Kellie Kirkpatrick, which of course is how I knew Heather!

I know her family well,& although I haven't seen Heather since before she graduated from high school, I have kept in touch w/ her family. They have my sincere offerings of prayer & sympathy to help them through this trying time. My family rests easy, as I know Heathers' does also, knowing that Heather is at long last at peace, & pain free, with her God.

One of the earliest memories I have of Heather is a 10 year old Heather showing me the new cheers she had learned at practice. She was excitedly jumping & cheering with a big smile on her face. As I continue to think about her I realized that all of my memories are of a smiling & happy Heather. Even when I visited her at Roper hospital many years ago & she was very sick but managed a smile when I came in the room. She will be sadly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to her daughter, her parents, who now have to go through the hardest thing I can ever imagine having to do. I am so very sorry for your loss, God bless you all. Wanda

Heather,

You are my best friend and I will miss you more than you could imagine. Even though we lived far apart from one another we always knew we were just a phone call away. I will always have wonderful memories of you and all of the fun times we had. I know that you are at peace now with Terry. Just know that I love you and miss you so much.

Heather & I were friends years ago at Lord Berkeley and haven't seen each other in forever. It is sad how friends lose touch. My thoughts & prayers are with you. Remembering Heather brought a smile to my mouth & tears to my eyes...

Heather, you and my daughter, Charyl, shared wonderful times together. I remember you as a teenager laughing and giggling and acting out Madonna songs. You have a wonderful spirit that will live on. You will be missed. We love you.
