Hazel Estes Moncks Corner - Hazel June Olderson Estes, 83, of Moncks Corner, SC, a former hostess and waitress for The Trawler Restaurant, died Thursday morning in a Moncks Corner nursing home. Her funeral will be 7:00 PM Monday evening, May 16, 2016, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 PM until the hour of service Monday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4214 Clemson Blvd., Ste. L, Anderson, SC 29621-1110. Mrs. Estes was born March 8, 1933 in Birmingham, AL, a daughter of Jason Olderson and Hazel Mattie Bobo Olderson. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and cross-stitching. Mrs. Estes was preceded in death by two daughters, Brenda Kinard and Rhonda Gail Ellisor; a son, Stephen Lee Estes; and a granddaughter, Sabel Nichole Easterling. Surviving are her husband, Bledsoe L Estes, Jr., of Moncks Corner; a daughter, Donna Ward and her husband, Mike, of Moncks Corner; a son, Jason "Dwight" Estes and his wife, Lou Ann, of Oak Island, NC; eight grandchildren, Rachel "Sissy" Kindard, Tessa (George) Peterson, John H. Kinard, III, Kyle Kinard, Stephen Estes, Jr., Shannon Estes, Heather Ward, and Michael (Vonda) Ward; and twelve great-grandchildren.
