Hattie Kobin Obituary

KOBIN, Hattie Hattie Meyerhoff Kobin, 91 years old, beloved mother of Ruth Kobin Oser, died in Charleston, SC on Saturday, December 13. She was a resident of Edenbrook Assisted Living for the past 4 ½ years. Mrs. Kobin worked for the Federal Government in Washington, DC for 30 years. She later lived in retirement for 26 years in Deerfield Beach, FL, prior to moving to Charleston to be near her daughter Ruth and son-in-law Eric Oser. Mrs. Kobin was born on February 8, 1917 in Baltimore, Maryland, the youngest daughter of Russian immigrants, Fannie and Morris Meyerhoff. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Sig Meyerhoff, of Silver Spring, Maryland, and her sister, Belle Weiss of Baltimore, Maryland. Surviving are two daughters, Ruth Oser of Charleston, South Carolina, and Gloria Sherman, of Silver Spring, Maryland, 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at B'nai Israel Cemetery in Oxen Hill, Maryland on Tuesday, December 16 at 1:45. Shiva will take place at the home of Richard and Gloria Sherman in Silver Spring, Maryland.
