Harvey Brown Obituary

Harvey Dennis Brown, Sr., 94, of Cordesville, SC, passed away peacefully on Friday morning at his residence. Born August 24, 1931, in Cordesville, SC, he was the son of David Soloman Brown, Sr., and Bonnie Murphy Brown. Mr. Brown was the retired owner and operator of Brown's Service Station & Used Car Lot. He also worked as a Signalman for Seaboard Railroad and as a manager for Confidential Finance Company in Moncks Corner. Additionally, he owned and operated Brown's City Service Station for 21 years, and was a graduate of Berkeley High School. Mr. Brown was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed spending his spare time hunting, fishing, and eating. He was also a proud member of Brown's Hunting Club. He is survived by his two sons, H. Dennis Brown, Jr., and his wife, Lynn, and Charles M. Brown, both residing in Cordesville, and a grandson, Robbie Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Kevin Brown; his sister, Doris B. Ryan; and his brothers, Donald Brown and Ray Brown. His funeral will be 3:00 PM Wednesday afternoon, October 8, 2025, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will follow in the Cordesville First Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 PM until the hour of service on Wednesday.
