Harry Louis Knight SUMMERVILLE - Harry Louis Knight, 83, of Summerville, SC, husband of Helen Hiott Knight, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at his residence. Graveside services will be held Friday morning, November 28, 2014 at 11 o'clock at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 7345 Jefferies Hwy., Walterboro, SC 29488. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Frances Willis SPCA, PO Box 1116, Summerville, SC 29484. Harry was born August 30, 1931 in Greenville, MS, the son of Clarence L. Knight and Evelyn Hancock Knight. He graduated from The Citadel in 1958, and retired from NAVELEX, where he worked as an Electronic Engineer. He also served in the US Air Force and fought during the Korean War. Harry was a lifetime member of the Miler Country Club. The family wants to give a special thanks to Dr. Robert Silgals and his staff, as well as the staff of Heartland Hospice for their loving care and treatment. In addition to his wife of 48 years, Helen, Harry is survived by his brother, Robert L. Knight, Sr. (Norma) of Hanahan; niece-in-law, Ann Knight; nephew, Bruce E. Knight of Goose Creek; niece, Rebekah Davis (Stanley) of Hanahan; great-niece, Tori Davis; two great-nephews, Brian Knight (Thayer), and Ian Davis; two great-great-nephews, Robert L. Knight III and Jonathan Knight. Harry is predeceased by his nephew, Robert L. Knight, Jr. and great-nephew, Travis Knight.
