Harry Harris Obituary

HARRIS, Harry Entered into eternal rest on the morning of December 13, 2004, Master Chief Harry Butch William Harris, USN (Retired), husband of Verna Armstrong Harris. Residence, Goose Creek, South Carolina. The relatives and friends of Master Chief USN (Ret) and Mrs. Harry Butch William Harris are invited to attend the Memorial Services of the former in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL, Friday afternoon, December 17, 2004 at two o'clock. Committal Services will be private. Friends may call at STUHR'S GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL, Thursday evening, December 16, 2004 from six until eight o'clock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406 or St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Mr. Harris was born September 21, 1939 in Quincy, Illinois, a son of Harry William Harris and Leatha Mitchell Harris. Mr. Harris was a United States Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Organization and was a member of the American Legion Post 166. Surviving are his wife of 47 years of Goose Creek, SC; two sons and daughters-in-law, Daryl and Beth Harris of Summerville, SC and Dwayne and Donna Harris of Normal, IL; a sister, Virginia Knapp and a brother Robert Thario both of El Paso, IL. Mr. Harris is also survived by seven grandchildren, Danny, Heather, Kelly, Jordan, Amanda, Anna and David.
