I am Dee-Dee, formerly Carol Smith (middle name Tharin!), Harvey Jr's sister, Colonial Street: Mary Shay, Dottie, I know Harold doesn't remember me, and your dear mother, and I recall when the postscript came along~~my deepest condolences from this far away to tell you how much you have remained in my thoughts. Mary Shay...our youngest of three sons and his wife are in process of adopting a baby girl from China. I saved the picture from years ago when you were one of the firsts. My husband of 'most 44 years is coming home from the hospital the end of this week after having 90% of his esophagus removed, laparascopucally, with excellent prognosis - your dad would appreciate this amazing thing. John and I have been sweethearts all these years, and I am truly blessed as I hope each of you 4 are. Please tell your mother that I can remember vividly her standing at the front door calling for one of you. Those were the days. Please let Chumpsie (Caroline) know, Dottie, that I was aware years ago now of her care for Murray and the deep grief of losing him so early. Love to all - Dee-Dee (Carol) ... Mother is 95 and I was in Charleston for her Christmas Eve birthday. God bless.

I have many fond memories of Dr. Pratt-Thomas lecturing me as a Medical Student and mentoring me as a Pathology Resident. He was an outstanding individual and I am sure that the family will miss him as well as his innumerable students.
