Louis my friend, rest in peace. I had some of the best times in my life with you and Dwight during high school. I look back at that time, and I smile and laugh. We had fun. Louis, not to many people in my life has touched me the way you have. Your kindness, your personality, and your friendship I will always keep dear. God Bless the Koester Family.

I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your children.
It hasn't been that long since my husband went to live with the Lord. I have thought of you often and I knew what you were going through. Let God wrap His arms around you and just thank Him for the wonderful years and times you had with Louis. They say it's gets better with time, with me, it doesn't, but God is with me and He is carrying me through just like He will with you. If you need to talk to someone just let me know.

The Koester family is in our prayers. I was Louis's band director in Summerville, and I have so many good memories of him during his years in the band and after he finished school. Louis was such a good young man,and he will be missed. Herman and Barbara are good friends, and they have been an inspiration to me during this time. What strength they have shown during these sad times.

I've not been in touch with Louis for 33 years since we graduated together from Summerville High but he was a special friend in those days. We were on the yearbook staff together and he was such a genuine, giving person. (I actually thought of him recently and looked for him on online.) I am praying for the entire family to find peace because we know Louis has already found his as God welcomed him home. God bless you all!

I was so shocked to read about Louis. We are back in SC and Bethany UMC after a 20 year stint in FL. I have thought about the Koester family so many times since we have been back. We always thought so much of Louis and the entire Koester family. Our thoughts & prayers are with all of you.
