Gwendolyn Mason Thompson CHARLESTON - Gwendolyn M. Thompson, widow of Harry W. Thompson, entered into eternal rest March 27, 2015. Resident of Charleston and born in Ridgeland, SC. Daughter of the late Lewis C. and Eulalia Nettles Mason of N. Charleston. She is predeceased by a son James (Jimmy) Thompson, a brother Lewis C. Mason, and a sister Lenore (Lynn) Avant. Mrs. Thompson was a graduate of N. Charleston Highschool and Rice Business College. She was employed and retired from Tesco Electric Company. She held the position of bookkeeping and office manager. She was a past member of the National Association of Woman in Construction, holding a position on the board, secretary, vice president, and president. Also voted as WIC woman of the year. She was a past member of the League Auxiliary Marian Marauders Society Headquarters of the SC National Guard, holding a position of president. She is survived by a daughter, Gail Ashfield-Thompson, a son, Thomas (Will) Thompson, 4 grandsons, Bradley Thompson, Mark Thompson, Joshua Thompson, and William Wright, 3 granddaughters, Lindsay Wright, Rosalyn, and Taylor Thompson, 2 great granddaughters, Amaya R. Wright and Ayonna M. Wright, and 1 great grandson, Devon C. Wright, sister, Dorothy (Charles Parker), 2 brothers, James (Larinia) Mason of Charlotte, NC., and George (Danny) Mason of Edgemoore, SC.
