Wish I could be with everyone to celebrate Sonny's life. He will be missed by many and remembered by all.

So sorry about Sonny. He and I crossed paths when his office was in Mt. Pleasant and we had lunch together a number of times. We talked about Sullivan's Island in the old days and the special friendship our parents had.
My earliest memories was going to y`alls house with Dot and Louie when I was a young boy.

My deepest condolences to Sonny's family and friends. He was a true southern gentleman and so kind and fun to be around. I was a good friend of his wife Scotty- we worked together for years at the Palms Restaurant on the Isle of Palms. They are together in heaven now! God bless!!

I worked with Sonny when we had Exit Realty in Charleston. He would light up the room when he walked in! Sonny was always smiling and was quite the character! He will be missed. My deepest condolences to his family.

I can not remember a more fun time growing up as teenager on Sullivans Island and Isle of Palms with Sonny back in the 1950s. Sonny was the only one of us that had access to a car on the weekends so he was our leader. We were known as the "Island Boys". They were his brother George, myself , Fred Zorn, Larry Mayfield, Frankie Bloomingburg, Bobbie Oneil, and Andrew Magwood.

Sonny was not only a gentleman, good friend, realtor to me. I loved his hearty laugh and passion to read. Several years ago Sonny asked me to work for him, organizing his home office on James Island and data entry that he was way behind in. I think we talked and laughed more than any 2 people could. I came across his wife Joanne's instructions for her famous food she served at Scotties. Sonny gave them to me, which I felt was a great honor.
