Gordon Fewox Obituary

Gordon G. Fewox FOLLY BEACH - Gordon G. Fewox, 84, of Folly Beach, SC, loving husband of the late Jerry Carson Fewox, entered into eternal rest on October 1, 2024. Gordon was born on February 12, 1940 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Harriet Goldman Fewox and Bud George Fewox. Gordon loved the beach, sports, fishing and hunting. He had warm memories of winning a State Championship when he was in High School playing football for the Saint Andrews Rocks. Gordon also spent many years fishing on Folly Beach and deer hunting at his club. Gordon was dedicated to his late wife, Jerry, and they were happily married for 61 years. He was a loving father and grandfather. Gordon was eager to help others and loved his extended family. He is survived by his daughter, Melonie Fewox Mallard of Charleston SC; son, Gordon Fewox, Jr. (Jeneen); grandson, Brandon Mallard; granddaughter, Taylor Fewox; sister, Elvenia Myers of Smoaks SC; brothers, Jerome Fewox (Ceil) of Hanahan, SC and Hiram Fewox (Betty) of Parrotsville, TN; nieces and nephews; and many extended family members whom he loved dearly. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 6, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashely Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. His Graveside Service will be held Monday, October 7, 2024 in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road, at 1:00 pm.
