Glyn Cowden Obituary

Glyn John Cowden MT. PLEASANT - Glyn John Cowden was 80 years old when he passed away on April 22, 2025. His funeral service will be held April 30, 2025 at J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, at 3:00 pm. Reception to follow. He served in the Air Force and went on to work for Gulf Oil Corporation. Glyn later moved to Atlanta, where he worked as a chef in Restaurants and Country Clubs. Eventually moving into specialty food sales. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Gwen. He also had three brothers: Doug, Bruce and Miller. He had a daughter, Karen, from a previous marriage. Glyn served as the Guardian for his youngest brother, Miller. He loved that he was able to help Miller have a wonderful life. Glyn loved everything about the Low Country, especially the people. He enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds. He was a talented photographer who captured the essence of the Low Country and the people. He had a love of trying new restaurants, cooking and spending time with his family and friends.
