Gloria Swanson Obituary
SWANSON, Gloria Gloria Ann Swanson, 71, of Summerville, died Sunday, October 30, 2005, at Summerville Medical Center. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 11, 2005, at St. Lukes Lutheran Church, 206 Central Ave., Summerville. Funeral service and burial was held by Robert Sheehy and Sons Funeral Home, 9000 West 151st Street, Orland Park, Illinois. Mrs. Swanson was born September 6, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of the late Raymond and Ann Feranec LeGrand. She was a homemaker. She was a devoted mother of Rhonda Prescott, Sandra (Frank) Lappin and Ericka (Kevin) Cone. Proud grandmother of Dena, Yvonne, Kirsten, Jason, Beth, Bobby, Chris and Griffin. Adored great-grandmother of Kylie, Hunter, Lucas, Tyler, Colton and Cadence. Devoted sister of Raymond (Roberta) LeGrand and John LeGrand. Gloria was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who lived for her family. She was just as devoted to her friends and treated them all as her extended family. She was a woman of great grace and beauty with an enormous smile and heart that she shared with all who had the pleasure to be with her. We will miss you Ms. Gloria and know that you are smiling down at us forever.

You could always count on Gloria to brighten up any room with her infectious smile, her wit and her manner of delivery:-) Those of us who had the pleasure of knowing Gloria have been truly blessed with a friendship that will last beyond eternity, as she touched us all so deeply. We all will truly miss her, but we know she is watching down on us:-) She's most likely forming a Bunko group in Heaven right now:-)
