Gloria Newell Hudgell Caldwell Summerville - Gloria Newell Hudgell Caldwell went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 27, 2015. Memorial services will be held at Flowertown Baptist Church, Saturday morning, January 2, 2016 at 11 o'clock. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Flowertown Baptist Church, 1305 Boone Hill Road, Summerville, SC 29483. Mrs. Caldwell was born in Florence, SC on February 2, 1938, the daughter of David B. and Bessie M. Newell. She had a career in Property Management for 25 years. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Charles Caldwell, her parents and 1 son, Russell David Hudgell. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Ross of Hookerton, NC; her son, Russell Hudgell of Louisville, KY; 2 sisters, Alice Bozard of Summerville, Diane Paul (Lanny) of Columbia, SC; 4 brothers, Gregg Rowell (Kim) of Abaline, KS, Jeff Rowell (Robin) of Summerville, Roger Rowell (Josie) and Willie Rowell, all of Charleston; special niece, Wilhelmina Metts and special friend, Jane Padgett; 5 grandchildren, Michelle and Kaylah of NC, Yanett, Renee and Robbie of KY; and 4 great grandchildren, Samantha, Brenton and Bentley of NC and Logan of KY and numerous nieces and nephews.
