Glennie Basha Obituary

Glennie Basha Jamestown, SC - Glennie Shuler Johnson Basha, 88, of Jamestown, SC, a retired pinsetter for the Santee River Wool Combing Company, died Monday morning in a Charleston hospital. Her funeral will be 2:00 PM Thursday afternoon, May 19, 2016, in the Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church. Interment will follow in the St. James United Methodist Church Cemetery, Jamestown. The family will receive friends at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM this Wednesday evening. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the MUSC Children's Hospital Fund, PO Box 250201, Charleston, SC 29425. Mrs. Basha was born December 9, 1927, in Shulerville, SC, a daughter of Hubert Thaddeus Shuler and Virginia White Shuler. She was a graduate of Macedonia High School, a member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church, and a former member of the St. James United Methodist Church. Mrs. Basha enjoyed gardening, fishing, crocheting, playing bingo, eating out, and spending time in the mountains. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherrill J. Howard, and was the widow of Coleman Johnson and Carl Basha. Surviving are, her husband, David R. Cooper, Sr.; three daughters, Willa J. Ackerman and her husband, Wilson, of Andrews, Linda J. Hill of Goose Creek, and Patty J. Wenningham and her husband, Frankie, of Jamestown; a step daughter, Norma Morris and her husband, Kenny, of Jamestown; a step son, Roy Cooper and his wife, Jackie, of Honey Hill; a sister, Janie S. Wiles of Jamestown; a son-in-law, Elbert Howard of Jamestown; five grandchildren, ten step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and ten step-great-grandchildren.
