My condolences to Mickey's family, friends and coworkers. He was a great teacher in his profession and loved his job! Working with Mickey as a coworker made my job fun and interesting. He was a special man who loved to joke around. He will be sadly missed! I'm sorry I did not know of his passing until today. I sure would have paid my respects. Sincerely, JJ Almers

To the Reeves Family,

I'm sorry to hear of Mickey's passing. He was always so full of life. I had the pleasure of knowing Mickey through Fleet Reserve Branch #50. We had many a good time whether at the branch home or branch picnic. I will cherish those times.
He will be missed, RIP Mickey!!!

Our hearts & prayers go out to all of Mickey's family. Mickey was a treasure in every way. As a member of our Dorange/Cattle Creek family, he has been a part of all of our lives for as long as I can remember. He meant so much to so many people from being there in times of loss to knowing how to put a smile on your face by just being himself. Chances are, if an American flag was placed on a veteran's grave site in a cemetery in our area on Memorial Day, it was Mickey who put it there. He will be forever remembered & forever missed by us all.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Mickey. I have known him over 35 years and met him through a friend that worked at Stuhrs. He was a wonderful gentleman and a great example in humanity for other young men to follow.

May God bless the family.

Dear family of Mickey Reeves,
The Frank Heinsohn family is very sorry to learn of your loss. Mickey was a wonderful friend and hunting partner to our dad Frank. He was also a generous spirit and graciously invited our whole family to come at Thanksgiving to his family's wonderful cane sugar syruping event. (This is a dying art in the low country, and we were so privileged to experience it with his family and friends for many years.) Mickey was a hard worker and genuine friend. We send our sympathies and condolences. RIP Mickey. Peace to you all, the Heinsohn's (written by Kathy).

I have known Mickey many years; he was my late father's (WW Jones) hunting buddy as well as a fellow member of the Fleet Reserve Branch 50. I always enjoyed running into Mickey during the times he was working a service I attended for Stuhr's. Deepest sympathy to your family--he was a joy to be around with his smiling face and warm personality. He will be missed by all who ever knew him.

Mickey was a good friend of the family for many years. He took great care of my grandfather when he passed away, several other family members along the way as well. He was in the hospital in October when my grandmother passed away. I thank him for his many years of dedicated service. May the Lord comfort and bless his loved ones left behind.(Family of John W Perry)

Mickey was a great man. I first met him through Ray Conway (Patrick's dad) at Fleet Reserve Picnics and he was always so kind. He hired me to work at Stuhr and taught me so much, not just about our work but about being a gentleman and service to others. He is remembered fondly and will be missed.

As a young funeral director/embalmer Mickey and John Arant took time to teach me about the funeral business. Mickey was also kind enough to take me up to Reevesville to let me hunt, teach me how cane syrup was made and how to raise quail. Thank you Mickey for helping me the funeral director/embalmer I am today.

Mickey,
You will be missed.
I doubt that anyone who knew you would dispute that you were one of the most steadfast supporters of Veterans in the State of South Carolina.
I cant think of a single sole who had a bad thing to say about you, nor can I imagine a person asking you for help that you would turn away.
You will not only be remembered by all of us who knew you with a smile, but you will also be profoundly missed.
Thank you for who you are, what you have accomplished, and all those you helped during your life. You definately left this world a better place than you found it.
