Glenn Bigham Obituary

BIGHAM, SR., GLENN WILLIAM, 79, of Orlando, FL, passed away Monday, June 26, 2006. He was born in Union, SC, and was a resident of Orlando since 1961. Glenn served 20 years in the US Air Force, and was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He is a former employee of Kennedy Space Center, and General Electric. He enjoyed golfing, socializing with his friends, rainy days, and a good book. Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Glenn is survived by his wife, Elly; daughter, Sabrina Miller and her husband, Mike; son, Glenn Jr. and his wife, Debra; three grandchildren, Michael, Timothy, and Cole, all of Orlando; and sister, Katie Lee Barnette, of Statesville, NC. Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 3, 2006 2PM at the Goldenrod Chapel of Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home. At a later date, the family will lay Glenn to rest with military honors at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund, 5151 Adanson Street, Suite 200, Orlando, FL 32804, 1-877-800-2951. I was saddened to hear of the loss of Mr. Bigham. There is a poem online titled, The Broken Chain. It is easily found doing an online search. I have found it to be a great source of comfort and hope it can ease your pain during this time of loss. My thoughts are with you and all of your family.
