Glenda Reder Obituary

Glenda Moore Reder Mt. Pleasant - Glenda Moore Reder of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina entered into eternal heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on November 18, 2015. She was diagnosed with ovarian peritoneal cancer in June of 2014, and she fought a strong battle. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 21, 2015 in First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, 681 McCants Drive at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. Glenda was born July 24, 1943, in Fayetteville, NC, daughter of the late Hoyle and Madge Langford. She retired from Pitney Bowes in Washington, D.C. as a major account executive, in 1999. After moving to Mt. Pleasant, SC, she began a second career in Real Estate and retired in 2014. She won numerous awards with both careers and enjoyed her employment with both companies. Glenda was a very active member of First Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant. She loved her church and all the wonderful friends she made there. She participated in all aspects of the church including Sunday School, Bible Studies, Book Studies, Prayer Group and numerous ministries. She also enjoyed golf and exercising and made many caring friends in these groups. She is survived by her husband, Jim Reder, Mt. Pleasant, SC; two daughters, Starla Grimes of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Meredith Ohmes, of Pelham, NY; four grandchildren, Samara and Shelby Grimes, Lawrence and William Ohmes, and step granddaughter Allyson Gaarder; her sister, Joan Lowder of Kannapolis, NC; two brothers, Dr. Jim Langford of Sanford, NC and David Langford of Raleigh, NC; and her sister-in-law, Jan Solbherg of Scotlsdale, AZ. The family would like to thank Dr. Scott Jennings and his nurse, Lisa, and Dr. Priscilla Holtzclaw, Dr. Jason Gunn and Dr. Curtis Quinn for their care and concern and her church family for their never ending support and love.
