To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To the Edmonson Family,

It was an honor knowing your mother
and being under her ministry. She was attentive to her members' need. When my mother(Mother Sallie "Dada" Robinson) was home bound. She visited faithfully and gave her a heartfelt scripture. I will always have great admiration and respect for Rev G.G. Edmondson. She was truly a Woman of God.

To the Edmondson Family,
Pastor G.G. Edmondson was a loving person with a kind spirit who was one of the Eastside's beloved Pastors. She was one of only a few Pastors who opened her church doors for family's in distress who may not have been a member of a local church who experienced death in their families and expected nothing in return except for them to get to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. She was loved and well respected by many. Eventhough I was not a physical member of Greater New Zion Church, the many things that I learned from her ministy, is helping me to Pastor the church where I serve today. A Mother's love is irreplacable. Many may try to step in to substitute, but there is nobody like Mama! May you cherish her memories always. To Richard, Pastor Kenneth and family, thank you for sharing your mother with so many of us. We will never forget Pastor G.G.

TO THE EDMONDSON FAMILY,

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's Will.

To the Edmonson Family,
PSALM 28: 7-9, says "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. The lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anoited. Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.

That is my prayer for each of you. Pastor was a strong and devoted woman of God. A woman who walked a Godly walk. I have never forgotten the faith and strength she gave to me as a young woman and can still hear her voice saying to me, "Claim nothing." Today, I still walk that miracle walk of faith, claiming nothing and trusting God.
May God's Peace abide with each of you and strengthen you day by day!
