Georgia Smoak Obituary

Georgia Carson Smoak, 52, of Harleyville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on October 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 21, 1973, in Orangeburg, she was the beloved daughter of David and Connie Carson. Georgia was a woman of deep faith and compassion whose life was defined by her love for family, her church, and her community. She enjoyed cooking and baking, often blessing others with her homemade meals and treats. Her dedication to Church, Bible study, and teaching children reflected her generous spirit and her unwavering belief in the goodness of God. Georgia was married to Mr. Jonathan Smoak, with whom she shared a life full of love and devotion. She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Ashley David Olmstead, Holly Jumper (Thomas), Max Scully, Sevanna Carrol, Audrey Nicole, Christina Mazell (Jared), and Jonathan Smoak (Stephanee); her siblings: Rebecca Bishop (Herbie), and Bobbie Sue Smoak (Brad); and her nieces and nephew: Bailee Bishop, Bobby Lee Smoak (Samantha), Hanna Mae Smoak, Gaylon Walker Carson, and Thomas Dale, 10 Grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. A memorial service to celebrate Georgia's life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Ridgeville Church of God, 444 School Street, Ridgeville, SC. Georgia's warmth, kindness, and faith touched many hearts. She will be remembered for her loving nature, joyful smile, and her devotion to both her family and her Lord.
