George Taylor Obituary

George Herbert Taylor SUMMERVILLE - George Herbert Taylor, 77, of Summerville, husband of Mary Michki Taylor, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at his residence. Friends and family may call at James A. Dyal Funeral Home on Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 2 o'clock PM until Hour of Service. Funeral Service will begin at 4 o'clock PM. Burial will be private. Flowers will be accepted. George was born on October 16, 1935 in Rockingham, NC son of the late George W. Taylor and Myra Vickory Taylor. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and especially watching Carolina Gamecocks. He was a mason and loved his dog, Stony. George served 20 years in the United States Navy and then retired. He also retired from Civil Service at Charleston Naval Shipyard. He has worked for 20 plus years with Dorchester County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy Sheriff. He was a member of St. John the Beloved Catholic Church. Surviving in addition to his wife Mary are: One Son and One Daughter: George S. Taylor (Mary) of Summerville, SC and Cassandra Waddell (James) of Round O, SC; Mother In Law: Hermina Michki of Summerville, SC; Six Grandchildren: RJ Williams, Christopher Williams (Jessica), Tracy Waddell, Rosemary Davis, John Daly, Anthony Daly; Four Great Grandchildren: Cassie Williams, Taralynn Goodson, Teilghlor Goodson and Tamar Goodson; Two Sisters: Phyllis Ryals (Duckie) and Shirley Nicholson both of Greensboro, NC; Stepmother: Anne Taylor of Pleasant Garden, NC; Half Sister: Becky Taylor of Houston, TX; Half Brother: James Taylor of Greensboro, NC; Brother In Law: Joseph Michki of Wichita Falls, TX; Niece: Judy Ryals Ritter (Warren) of Greensboro, NC; Great Nieces and Nephews: Tony Michki, Keith Michki, Jenny Michki, Steve Michki, Lisa Michki. Mrs. Mary Ann, George and Sandra,
Mr. George will be missed by all of us at the Courthouse and the Clerk of Court's office. I will miss the smell of breakfast and wonder what he was cooking. We will all miss his smile, hugs and kisses. He was loved by all of us.
