George Parsons Obituary

George Parsons, Sr. Walterboro - George John Parsons, Sr., 82, of Walterboro, SC, former owner and operator of Rainbow Enterprises Paint & Body, died Wednesday afternoon at the Summerville Community Hospice House.His funeral will be 5:00 PM Monday afternoon, May 4, 2020 in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:30 PM until the hour of service on Monday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Mr. Parsons was born December 3, 1937, in Mooers Forks, NY, a son of Alfie Benjamin Parsons and Florence Naar Parsons Shaw. He was a US Air Force veteran and a member of the NRA. Mr. Parsons enjoyed restoring old cars and was also a former race car driver at the Summerville Speedway. He especially loved family gatherings and telling stories of the "good old days". Mr. Parsons was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Ann Scott, and a great- granddaughter, Hailey Renee Parsons.Surviving are, two daughters, Deborah Parsons and her husband, Scott Peck, of Summerville, and Lisa Bapties of Ladson; three sons, George J. Parsons, Jr., of Sylvania, GA, Robert Parsons of Pineville, and John A. Parsons and his fiance', Jennifer Jordan, of Sylvania, GA; a brother, Alfred J.
