George Mills Obituary

George Allen Mills HAMPTON, SC - Mr. George Allen Mills, of Jackson Avenue in Hampton, died Monday morning at the Pruitt Health Care Facility in Estill. Mr. Mills was born in Walterboro, March 8, 1950 a son of the late David and Mary Luelle Cook Mills. He was a licensed barber, but had worked with his father with Mills Meat Sales. He loved to play his guitar and played Gospel Music at the Hampton Church of God of Prophecy, where he was a member, and he also played at the local nursing homes. Surviving are: Brother: Dr. Francis A. Mills of Hampton and a Sister: Elizabeth R. Goettee of Hampton. Mr. Mills was predeceased by his parents; his wife: Patricia Marlene Wilson Mills; and two brothers: David M. Mills Jr. and Gerald Mills. Funeral services will be 3 P.M. Thursday in the Hampton Church of God of Prophecy, conducted by Rev. Gilbert Linder, with burial in the Hampton Cemetery directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton. Visitation will begin at 2 P.M. Thursday prior to the services at the church. The family suggests that those who wish may send memorials to the Church of God of Prophecy, P.O.
