Coach Lovett was my coach at Ware Shoals High. He was a great baseball coach. I improved every year because of him. He also coached me in football. I became a coach probably because of him. RIP Coach.

Our condolences to the entire Lovett family. Dick and Wilna were always so kind and welcoming to us over the years after we built our house in Bull Point. Any time we would come to the house to visit, Dick was always available with a smile on his face and a helping hand. He was a true Southern gentleman.

My brother was a model of strength and compassion. He loved life and the outdoors. He always defended women's honor and the the less fortunate. He was a tough and fair negotiator in business. He was a true Christian and was not afraid to live his life as such and not just to " talk the talk" . He was my hero and was my best friend. He was the ultimate big brother always willing to provide guidance and advice when needed. He was an incredible athlete and coach always willing to take time to teach the art of the game to me and so many others and his players. I am a better person for having him in my life and I will miss our times fishing, hunting or just passing the time eating and watching sports. I will truly miss my brother and best friend. God bless and watch over you Dick ! Love ya man ! Tommy

As little kids, I mean 8-10-12 years old, our family vacations were a long drive from Atlanta all the wayyyyyyyy over to Kingstree, SC, to PLAY with The Lovett Cuzzinnnsss!! Wow!! Did we play night and day for 7 days. Dickie was like the Senior Commander Cuzzinnn! He was a tower of a man in my eyes!! He was always smiling, smooootthhhh tawlkin, easy-going and always watched out for us younger kids! He seemed to be able to hold that role as an adult!! He was admired, respected even revered as that Consummate South Carolina Southern Gentleman ..... times TEN!! We loved Dickie and he leaves a Big Warm Feeling in ALL of Our Hearts!! RIP, Cuzzzz!!!!!

It was with Heavy Hearts that we read of Dick's death. Dick was a "Man for All Seasons" and much admired. Dick, Wilna and the Lovett family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Linda,Tommy, Beth, Tim, and family: my thoughts and prayers for your comfort are inadequate to express my grief on the loss of Dick. I have spent long hours remembering the great times we had and genuine friendship we shared. Growing up with Dick was a blessing in my life and those who did not know him missed a blessing. He was a bright star in so many people“s life.
