Scott was born July 23, 1972, in Charleston, South Carolina, son of George Madison Heath and Carolyn Gaskins Heath. He attended First Baptist Church School and was a graduate of Wando High School. He later attended Francis Marion University and Charleston Southern University. Scott developed a love of farming at a young age, a skill he learned from his father and carried throughout his life. Scott is survived by his mother, Carolyn Gaskins Heath of Mount Pleasant, and a host of much loved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, George Madison Heath, and grandparents, Lois and Viola Gaskins, and Alva and Iva Lee Heath.
