Genrikh Polyachenko Obituary

Genrikh Abramovich Polyachenko Charleston - Genrikh Abramovich Polyachenko, 97, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Dr. Ida Gorodetskya Polyachenko, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 26, 2022. His funeral service will be held graveside Sunday, January 30, 2022 in Emanu-El Cemetery (Maryville) Sycamore Avenue at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel. Genrikh was born June 22, 1924 in Brailov, Ukraine, son of the late Avram Polyachenko and Bronya Schmukler Polyachenko. He was a retired Electrical Engineer. Genrikh is survived by his wife of 73 years, Ida Polyachenko; daughter, Slava Tsveer (Josif); son, Michael Polyachenko (Svetlana) all of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren: Susan Sacco (Joey), Janet Tsveer, Daniel Tsveer (Helen), Serge Polyachenko and Alex Polyachenko; and five great-grandchildren: Payton Sacco, Annie Sacco, Jacob Sacco, Mila Tsveer and Luca Tsveer. Memorials may be made to Synagogue Emanu-El, 5 Windsor Drive, Charleston, SC 29407. A memorial message may be sent to the family by visiting our website at www.jhenrystuhr.com.
