Genevieve Senio Obituary

SENIO, Genevieve J. Genevieve J. Senio, 89, a longtime resident of Enfield, entered into her eternal rest on Wednesday (May 7, 2008). Born on June 10, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary (Dudek) Senio. Genevieve was a graduate of Enfield High School Class of 1936 and after high school she went on to secretarial school. She was employed by the former Bigelow Carpet Co. in Thompsonville until their closing and then worked as a bookkeeper in the pension department of Pratt & Whitney Aircraft until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of the former St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Enfield, the Polish National Home and the American Legion John Maciolek Post #154 women's auxiliary. A loving aunt, great aunt and great great aunt, Genevieve is survived by a nephew, Douglas N. Senio and his wife Sharon of Stafford; her two nieces, Linda J. Senio of Enfield and Leslie M. Senio of Windsor Locks.; great nephews, Edward Griswold and Keith Senio; great nieces, Leann Blakely and Diann Senio; and great great nephews, Kevin O'Brien, Kyle Senio, and Spencer Johnson. She was predeceased by her brother Norbert D. Senio in 1996. A Memorial Service for Genevieve will be held on Monday, May 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. A private burial will in Enfield Street Cemetery at a later date. Relatives and friends may call on Genevieve's family on Monday evening prior to the services from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Genevieve's nieces and nephews wish to thank the staff and nurses of the Reflections Unit at Parkway Pavilion for the exceptional care Genevieve received while a resident at their facility.
