Geneva Royal Obituary
Geneva was born in Pine Village Sept. 6, 1920, the daughter of the late Floyd Hamilton and Sarah Ethel Norwood Lemming. She married O. Dean Royal at Francesville and he preceded her in death in 1988.
A homemaker, she was a 1938 graduate of Pine Village High School and was a member of the Pine Village United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Edward Royal of Oak Park, Ill. and Stephen Royal (wife Polly) of Lafayette; a brother, Glen Lemming of Wolcott; two sisters, Judy Slater (husband Bob) of West Lafayette and JoAnn Smith (husband Chet) of LaPorte; a daughter-in-law, Angela Dimich of West Lafayette; five grandchildren, Chris Royal (wife Shonda) of Flora; Nicole Plummer (husband Steve) of Otterbein; Ben Royal of West Lafayette; Ali Royal of West Lafayette; and Karla Meyers (husband Travis) of West Lafayette along with six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son Gregory Royal; a daughter-in-law, Lina Royal; two brothers, Russell and Morris Lemming and by three sisters, Doris Armstrong, Irma Wisehart and Florence Banker.
Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St. Lafayette from noon until the service at 2 p.m. Monday, Pastor John Christy officiating, with a private family interment service at Pine Village Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Pine Village United Methodist Church.
