George and I were Ladys Island golfing friends of Gayle and Ed. We were fortunate to see Gayle in Summerville in her new home after we moved to Mt. Pleasant. We kept in touch by email for a long time, but not recently, and were shocked to read of her passing. She was a wonderful lady and a good friend who loved her family and Summerville. We will all miss her.

To all of Gayle's family: John and I are so sorry to hear of Gayle's passing. Living just down the street from Gayle and Ed on Wade Hampton, we were so pleased to know them. Gayle was a true "lady", and we think of her often when passing by her house. Please accept our sincere sympathy. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
