Gary Wright Obituary

Gary Lynn Wright

Johns Island - Gary Lynn Wright laid to rest January 3, 2026, after a long battle with Cancer. Gary was a fighter all the way to the end and lasted longer than was predicted. Gary was born and raised in Princeton, IN. His parents owned a grocery store that he helped run with his little brother until he was drafted by the Army.

Gary has been a resident on Johns Island for over forty years. He leaves behind his beloved wife Teresa Wright and their dog, Gurdy. Gurdy was Gary's best friend, and he treated her as a child. Gary had no children of his own but cared for his nieces and nephews like his own.

He leaves behind nieces Rochelle Glidewell and Jennifer Adams. He also leaves behind nephew and niece, James Grove and Amy Augustine whom he helped raise and took in as his own.

Gary was a very caring husband, always making sure his wife was taken care of all the way to the end. He was a loving son, brother, and Uncle. Gary was a quiet and personal man but would help you if you asked. He was lucky to have his wife and nephew with him in his last days surrounded by love and great care. Gary will be missed by his family and friends dearly.
