Gary Wong Obituary

WONG, Gary
Passed away peacefully at Mercy General Hospital on April 3, 2006, after having lost a valiant battle with lymphoma. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon and father Kenneth, brothers Terry, Alan, and Dennis Wong. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Raymond (Yvonne) Harano, sister-in-law Carol (Gilbert) Matsumoto, nieces, nephews, and many relatives. Gary was born in Watsonville on July 6, 1949, and grew up in Oakland. He then resided in Sacramento, where he enjoyed working with his many friends and customers at RPW/Tognotti's. Gary appreciated the loving care that he received from Mercy General Hospital, Dr. Spears, and his staff. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his "little ones" and family. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

Sharon,

My Heart felt condolence goes out to you and your family. The "Norman story" you shared with me will remain one of my favorite lifetime stories. I am only an e-mail or call away if you need to talk to someone.

Sharon: I was really shocked when Cory gave us the upsetting news. I had no idea Gary was in the condition he was. Jordan had said he was coming home from the hospital the day I picked him up from your house. I'm sure you didn't want to tell him anything sad. He said "everyone I love, dies". I will always remember Gary and his kindness. He never said anything negative to me. We will miss him and I know my mom will miss him helping her at the store.
