GREENVILLE -- Garrett Marshall Boatright, 21, of Greenville passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025.
Garrett was born on April 13, 2004, in Dayton to Art & Tonya (Crider) Boatright Jr. of Greenville. In addition to his parents, Garrett is also survived by the love of his life, soulmate Bailey Engle; siblings, Wyatt (Raven) Boatright and Brooke (Brandon) Crider; nieces & nephews, Zade Fader, Cruz Fader, Aris Fader, Oliver Boatright, and Sabrina Boatright; grandfather, Larry Crider; great grandmother, Donna Howdieshell; and numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Garrett always had a way to make everyone laugh. His presence lit the room, and he was loved and adored by so many. Garrett was always ready to lend a hand! He was truly the picture-perfect definition of a great man!
Garrett was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur Boatright Sr., Dori & Mark Howdieshell, and Emma Crider; uncle, Rick Crider; and aunts, Linda Newbauer and Elizabeth Lake.
Garrett worked for Marriott Hotels in the Maintenance Department. Garrett loved wrenching on anything that could be fixed, especially motorcycles and cars. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking, riding his motorcycle and dirt bike, skateboarding, spending time with his soulmate Bailey and family and friends. Garrett was a lifelong fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. He had a passion for animals, especially his dog, Jax and his numerous cats.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Alliyah Blakeley officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Immediately following the funeral, a celebration of Garrett's life will be held at Fireside Resort Campground 6236 Shade Rd. Greenville.

My prayers go out for Garrett's friends and family. He was such a cheerful and nice guy and a co-worker who will always be remembered. Rip Garrett!
