Garnett Alberta Burleston Watkins GOOSE CREEK - Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of July 2, 2010, Garnett Alberta Burleson Watkins, wife of the late G. William Watkins. Residence, Goose Creek, SC. Mrs. Watkins was born September 22, 1914, in Canton, OH, daughter of the late Keener Burleson and Monarchy Jane Gaddy Burleson. She retired as a receptionist from the Charleston Surgical Associates. She was a member of the Carolina Bay Church and Order of the Eastern Star in New Jersey. She enjoyed doll collecting, working crossword puzzles and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She is survived by her son, Charles E. Watkins (Lois) of Charlotte, NC; two daughters, Nancy C. Woodrum of Gainesville, GA and Marilyn Guilbert (Bob) of Goose Creek, SC; six grandchildren, Marilyn Bond, Robert Watkins, Sandra Price, William Woodrum, Kenneth Woodrum, and Laurene Campbell; sister, Marie Cuthbertson; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Woodrum and four sisters, Eunice Davis, Signer Shaffer, Virginia Furbee and Gloria Schaeffer. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, N. Charleston, Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at eleven o'clock am. Burial will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner, SC. Friends may call at Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel Monday from six o'clock until eight o'clock. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the March of Dimes, 1064 Gardnew Road, Suite 114, Charleston, SC 29407 or Winyah Hospice, 1027 Physician's Drive, Suite 240, Charleston, SC 29414.
