Frederick Eugene Bishop, Jr. Charleston - Frederick Eugene Bishop, Jr., 75, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, November 18, 2022. His funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Asbury St. James United Methodist Church, 754 Rutledge Ave., Charleston, SC 29403. Interment to follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414. The family will receive friends Monday, November 21, 2022 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy, Charleston, SC. from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Frederick was born December 15, 1946 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Frederick Eugene Bishop, Sr. and Violet Mae Holder Bishop. He was a graduate of the College of Charleston and held a Master's degree in chemistry from the University of Missouri-Rolla. Frederick was a veteran of the United States Army and served as a Medic in Vietnam. He was a member of Asbury St. James United Methodist Church. He is survived by daughters, Allison Bishop Lucas (John) of Waxhaw, NC, Bonnie Lee Bishop of Charleston, SC; son, Christopher Bishop of Charleston, SC; daughter-in-law, Rhenda Bishop of Charleston, SC; grandchildren; Joseph McLeod Bishop, Rachel Lucas, Daniel Lucas, Matthew Lucas and Abigail Lucas. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Cheryl Bishop Mushrush. Memorials may be made to Lowcountry Community Hospice House, 374 Myers Road, Summerville, SC 29486.
