I just recently learned of Fred's passing.
My most significant memory of Fred: he agreed to host a brunch at The Wreckon my wedding day in 1994. Fred and staff prepared a full blown Lowcountry meal that was the highlight of the weekend for my Dad and his friends. They talked for years about the meal, the restaurant, and Fred's kindness in opening up for us.
He was a kind man.
I pray for your peace.

Pat,
We are very sorry to here of Fred's passing. Our fond memories include the dinners he arranged for Cathedral members on the dock, men's breakfast on the dock after a shrimp boat cruise and the meals my Citadel classmates & I had at the Wreck. Rest in peace my friend.

Pat and childfren,
Although the years have seen too much distance between us and cherished folks we hold dear, Fred was one of the "giants" in our lives. His friendship and counsel in our younger years were so appreciated. I think he said our Summerville house was the easiest .. and the last, .closing he would do. Hard to believe that has been 23 years ago. The irony of his passing on the calendar day after his good friend, Jim's, passing brings a smile knowing that those two would be sharing an embrace in St. Peter's front yard! And probably riding horses together in God's meadows! A life incredibly well;lived ! Peace to you all!

May God comfort and bless Mr. Scott's family during this time. I met Mr. Scott 21 years ago as my family went to the Wreck on a hot July evening for dinner. Mr. Scott greeted us with a smile and handshake. He always made us welcome on each visit and the Wreck by far is the best seafood in all the southern states and through the Virgin Islands. Me. Scott will be greatly missed by all.

Fred Scott gave me the privilege of being one his egg boys at his farm. The memories of the Saturday BBQ, and the horse riding provided by Fred and his father were among the highlights of my youth. Many of us were blessed indeed to be included in Fred's life in once rural Mt. Pleasant. Fred will not be forgotten.

Very sorry to learn of the loss of Mr. Scott. My grandparents called him "Scooter". He was a unique lawyer who would spend time to make sure he knew the wishes of his clients. I never heard of him advocating a client or a witness lie in court. He was always thoughtful and caring. He was happy as a the owner of the Wreck and spent time with customers making sure they were happy with the great food and service. He is missed.

I was one of Egg Boys in my early teens. One of the highlights of my youth was a result of the Scott family. Saturday's at Creekside Farm was an extra benefit. Fred taught us all God's business skills as well developed a lifelong long love of horses and God's Creation.

Mrs. Scott, Doug, Robbie, Betsy, Susie, and all of your families, we are so very sorry for your loss during this difficult time. Mr. Scott was a great man who I have fond memories of him since I was a child growing up playing tennis at Creekside Tennis Club. I remember that he had a great intellect and wit, but he always made those around him feel good about themselves. I appreciate the legacy he has left behind in each of you. May God provide peace and comfort to each of you, and wrap his loving arms around your Dad.

My condolences to Pat and family and entire extended family. I have many treasured memories of Freddie at Shem Creek Farm. We lived there when Uncle Fred and Aunt Charlotte started the egg business and even though Freddie was a college man and Adalia and I were in grammer school, he was always kind and tolerant of us. I still see him riding his high spirited horse at top speed. Love, Sarah Jane

I am grateful that our paths crossed in many circles - political, legal, as a resident of Creekside and as a satisfied customer at The Wreck. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
