ACKERMAN, Fred Entered into eternal rest on March 6, 2005, Fred Remson Ackerman, husband of Kathleen Johnson Ackerman. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ackerman are invited to attend the funeral service of the former in The Episcopal Church of St. Peter's and St. John, Thursday, March 10, 2005 at One O'clock. Fred was born in Cottageville, SC, October 11, 1922, the son of Fred Richmond Ackerman and Leila Peters Ackerman. He was a retired sales manager with Wettereau and was a member of The Cathedral of St. Luke and St. Paul. He served in the US Army during WWII. Surviving are his wife of Charleston, SC; 1 daughter, Kathy Ackerman Dodd and her husband Richard of Charleston, SC; 1 son, Chuck Ackerman and wife Cindy of Yorba Linda, CA; 1 grandson, Shawn Dodd of Charleston, SC; 2 granddaughters, Cathy McLaughlin and husband Andy of Phoenix, AZ and Christy Ackerman of Phoenix, AZ; 1 great grandson, Hayden McLaughlin of Phoenix, AZ; 2 brothers, Bernard Ackerman of Georgetown, SC and Glen Ackerman of Hendersonville, SC; 2 sisters, Marcie Strickland of Walterboro, SC and Elva Muckenfuss of Cottageville, SC.
