Preston & Fraser:
We were saddened to learn of your Father's passing. Having known him has enriched our lives, as he was truly a gracious "southern" gentleman. The relationship w/ my grandfather, Dr. deSaussure, and mother, Margarette deS. Black, will always be in our hearts. May light perpetually shine on him. Our love to both of you and your families.

To Dr. Wilson's family;
My mother has been a resident of BG for 2 years and got to know Dr. Wilson well when she participated in the Friday "sings". She said she loved his smile!! I think he may have gone to Medical School with my father, L.D. Rhodes. My Mom and I send our deep sympathy to you and your family.

I lived next door to the Wilson's for several years, Dr. Wilson was a kind and gentle man, who always opened his home and yard for the kids in the neighborhood to play in. I spent many a spring and summer afternoon playing football with his son's Preston and Fraser. We made forts out of discarded Christmas trees in the weeks after Christmas.
Dr. Wilson will be missed by so many folks that he has touched over his life.

To Fraser, Jr. and Preston - My heart was broken this morning when I read this obit. You are truly in my thoughts and prayers. While working at BG I met Dr. Wilson and he was quite a "southern gentleman". A wonderful person who had the most infectious smile. I can still see him walking toward the dining room and Carleen stopping him to "dance". He will always remain in the hearts of Charlestonians who had the pleasure of knowing him. This world is a better place because he passed through. He is at peace with his Lord. Zoe thanks for being his friend, you could "always" make him smile. God Speed Doc.
