Franklin Quinn Obituary

QUINN, Franklin M/Sgt. Franklin "Frank" Delano Quinn, US Air Force (Ret.), 75, of Awendaw, SC, and husband of Sheila Kerbery Quinn, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2009. A gathering of friends and family will be held at a later date. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. Frank was born on April 9, 1933 in Arlington, Massachusetts, son of the late John Quinn and Helena Koehane Quinn. After 25 years, he retired from the United States Air force. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Quinn of Awendaw, SC; one brother, John Quinn, Jr. of Griffin, GA; Frank's former wife, Mary M. Quinn of Mt. Pleasant, SC; five daughters, Theresa Tapio and her husband, John, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Maureen Adkins and her husband, Bruce, of Hanahan, SC, Ann Hamilton and her husband, Bill, of Hanahan, SC, Karen Quinn of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Tricia Spradlin and her husband, James, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three sons, Jimmy Cole and his wife, Susanne, of James Island, SC, Todd Cole and his wife, Linda, of Charleston, SC, and Fred Cole and his wife, Laura, of James Island, SC; twelve grandchildren, Joyie and Caroline Tapio, Bradley, Cameron and Alex Cole, Hanah Quinn Cole, Quinn Kerrigan, Sarah Cole, Trey Hamilton, Michael Bresnic, Megan and Brooke Spradlin and Brittany Upchurch and her husband, Patrick. He was predeceased by two daughters, Kathleen Rose Kerrigan and Mary Elizabeth Stuhr. Memorials may be made to The Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406. Sheila, I am so sorry to hear of Frank's passing. He was a good, decent man that I was glad to have known. Believe me, I know that it truly is the outpouring of prayers, love, and the support of family and friends that gets you through these tough times. I wish you well, I understand your loss.
