I have so many wonderful memories of Mr. Petty. Shooting off rockets in fields, t-ball, him teaching Laura and I about the stocks in the paper, listening to baseball games on the car radio- he was such a wonderful person and he was loved by so many.

Dear Jo, truly a great man and wonderful friend, Herb will be greatly missed by us at Lord Fairfax. At your encouragement, Herb reluctantly took up photography but then he soon became infatuated with the challenge of capturing images of the natural world. His passion for the outdoors and photography grew and grew and he very quickly became a fantastic photographer and naturalist. Eventually he put a camera in your hands and together the two of you were able to share the joys of photography together. You were able to share many fun field trips and outings together with the many natural history and photography classes that you joined. Then in 2008, you were able to enjoy a fantastic trip to Belize with the photography class. What great memories we have to remember together. Saying good-bye is the hardest thing in life but we remember the good times and celebrate the precious time that we have together with friends and loved ones. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family. Ann and Rob
