To the family of Brother McElveen, I want to extend my deepest sympathy. I enjoyed watching and listening to this dear man on Sunday mornings. He was inspirational and will be missed.

A Man who lived "A Purpose Driven Life" taught us to be disciples of Christ and to save the lost. Not to gossip about one another or tear down each other, But to build up each other and be there in time of need, Put our arms around each other and give a big hug, show forgiveness and kindness, Thank's to Bro. Mack so many of us now live a Christian lifestyle, Because of his teaching our childrens and grandchildren have obeyed The Gospel Of Jesue Christ. The St. Stephen Church of Christ Family is sadden by the passing of our beloved Brother in Christ. Bro. McElveen was ther to dedicate our worship facility and gave us great words of wisdom on working together as a congregation. He will be missed by all. Keeping the family in prayer.

McElveen came to be our minister. First at Hugo Avenue, then Jacksonville Rd. and finally at Azalea Dr. Bro. McElveen was a spiritual gaint, a true Man of God, blameless, caring, giving, encouraging, and a visionary. He was a trailblazer and full of knowledge and wisdom. He lived what he preached. Our preacher, minister, mentor, and friend has gone on to get his reward. The work that he has done, speaks for him. May God continue to bless you all as a family. We love you all dearly.

As a little girl I look forward to having Bro. McElveen come to Decatur,Ga for our Summer Gospel meetings in the 1970's. My guess is that Sis. Goldie was at home with the children. Our family at that time was 9 strong with parents and children. It was at this time that we learned what it mean't to be hospitable. Our mother would fix a meal for evening before the meeting. All of the sisters that were able would cook dinner and pull out the fine china. How excited we(maybe more me) would be to have a special dinner for our guest come. I really enjoyed when Bro. Mc would come to speak those summers not so long ago. To the McElveen family, thank you for sharing your husband, and your dad all of those years ago. Bro. Mc has molded many christian lives that started from childhood and I for one am truly honored and grateful to have known him. A True Man of God....I was very fortunate to have sing at Min Mcelveen Congration...Not only did he and his members treated us well, when our van broke down he stayed with us for 18hours fixing it...That has stayed with me until this day....condoles to the family

Bro. Frank McElveen was a true man of God. He stood boldly on the word of God through preaching and by the life he lived. His virtues are rare and worthy of emulation.

I have known the McElveen family for 42 years. Brother Frank McElveen felt like a family member to us. He was a man of wisdom, truth and integrity. I learned so much from not only his sermons but his daily walk with God. Family, be strong and encouraged. Brother McElveen was preparing for this day all of his life. He is resting in Paradise and is pain free. I love you all.
