Francis Sutton Obituary

SUTTON, Francis Mr. Francis Sutton, a retired gas station owner and automobile mechanic, died at MUSC Hospital, Charleston, SC, on March 14, 2008 of complications from a broken hip on February 22, 2008. He was born November 11, 1916 near Aynor, SC, and was 91 years old. He was married for 44 years to Myrtle Baker Sutton of Huntington, WV. He will be buried next to his wife, who preceded in death by seven months, in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at the WALLACE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, Barboursville, by Minister Ron Ross with visitation one hour before. No service is planned in the Charleston, SC area. During WWII, Mr. Sutton was employed by a Tug Boat repair and construction facility which at that time was located near the foot of the old Grace Memorial Bridge on the Charleston side. From a previous marriage, Mr. Sutton leaves behind a daughter, Yvonne Sutton Kuzma of Panama City, FL, and a son, Bill Sutton of Summerville, SC; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
