FRANCIS X., on Nov. 18, 2007, age 59. Loving father of Julie Roach and Andrew Roach, dear grandfather of Jacquie Roach. Former husband of Ruth, son of Alice and the late George "Herm" Roach. Brother of Margaret Scheitrum, Raymond, Michael, Kathleen and Timothy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation and Funeral on Sat. Nov. 24, 2007 from 9-10 A.M. in St. Bernard R.C. Church (Cottage and Bleigh Sts.) Funeral Mass 10 A.M. Int. private. Arr.

I grew up with Frank. The news of his death only reached me today. I had lost touch with Frank and was unable to reach him. I knew him as a stand-up guy; fearless, very intelligent, a loyal friend, passionate, and witty. I regret that when I heard (perhaps inaccurately) that he was living in the Northeast that I was unable to contact him. I had a rich childhood and Frank was a prominant figure among my friends who met at the Pennypacker school yard after school. I always had a lot of respect for Frank, and valued his friendship very highly. I wish his loved ones solace.

My deepest condolences on the sudden loss of your father. I was working with Andrew when got the news, I could see his pain. I lost my mother a few months ago and understand your feelings of loss and pain. This will be a difficult week of grief. Think of Francis in his gloory and the Lord will help you.
