I was privileged to be "Mr. Morris' pastor for several years. I have admired him for many, many years, especially his perseverance until a task was finished. He faithfully served as an elder, and was a model to us. My wife, Nadine, and I stayed in his home whenever we visited Columbia. We are confident that he is with Christ, whom he dearly loved and faithfully served.

My son saw the note on someone's facebook about today's memorial service. I admired Frank Morris very much and enjoyed many good visits with him in their home years ago. He will be missed. I had been thinking about him a lot this week, but did not know about the service in time to be there. May God comfort all the family in your loss, but Frank's gain!

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Frank will be dearly missed by so many people.. When Ian and I joined C.E. Church, we were placed in Frank's Shepherding Group. He invited us to lunch, took us under his wing and became a dear friend for more than 30 years. He had a most generous and giving heart. May you be comforted by your memories and the knowledge that Frank is now in heaven with the Savior he loved and served so well.

My father-in-law certainly was a unique individual. My relationship began with him in the late 50's when I began dating his eldest daughter, Barbara. At that time it was easy to see that I was being scrutinized with a father's jaundice eye. But we got through that period and over the years I came to realize what a rare individual Papa was. Our relationship evolved into one of mutual love and admiration. He obviously had severe traumas throughout his early life that he overcame with enthusiasm and determination. He literally hit the ground running in most of his endeavors. The term "pulled himself up by his bootstraps" is appropriate here. As a result, he successfully transformed himself from an almost orphan into the beloved patriarch of a large family. I consider myself lucky to have been part of that family over the years. It is easy to see that my children have been rewarded with many of his positive characteristics.

Daddy, your legacy will live on in all of us. I have become who I am by learning from you - the good and the bad. (Thanks for the temper) My faith, my work ethic, my love of music, the outdoors all came from you. We will miss you but will be reunited in Heaven some day. I love you.

Papa, I am grateful to you for so much. My faith, my resolve, my convictions...so much of who I've become is due to your faithfullness and commitment to Jesus and the great commission. You've heard me tell you these things before. There is no day when I don't notice my surroundings, think of you, and say again, "thank you". I praise the Lord for you and what you've taught me every day, and look forward to seeing you once again on the other side of Glory, where the bass are always biting.

Everytime we spoke he had only positive words of encouragement. The man led by example. God speed Uncle Frank!

We are surrounded by precious memories. We love you, Daddy. You will be missed terribly, but the legacy you have left us is amazing. Our heritage runs deep. Your faith and strength will be passed on to our children, grandchildren, and generations to come should the Lord tarry. We are blessed.

Frank has been a very dear friend of our family for many years and will be truly missed.
He knew and served his Lord in many ways and we know that he is rejoicing in heaven and probably, if necessary, helping the Lord build clocks.
We extend hearetfelt sympathy to the family at this time of grief.

We are so sorry about the death of Lt. Col. St. Clair Morris. We thank him for his service to our country, fighting to rid our world of tyranny, cruelty and injustice. We owe so much to "The Greatest Generation". We hope and pray the family will find strength in your faith and your memories.
