I worked with Carold at Mead-Westvaco. He was a good man and a good friend. He loved his family, his girls and his mother. I met his mother "Miss Evelyn" who loved quilting as much as I did. Miss Evelyn and I had the wonderful experience of being in a quilting bee together. Carold has a loving family who supported him during a most difficult time. My heart and my prayers go out to you. Carold Douglas was my father's best friend. We all enjoyed his many cooking events, uncanny wit, and his friendship. He brought much fun, excitement, and pleasure to us all. We will miss you; our prayers are with your family, and tell Dad hello; I am sure you are once again enjoying each others company again. Keep a watchful eye over us.
Your friend, Ed Brailsford and family.

Jill, Christy, and Angie,
I am so sorry about the loss of your dad. Mr Carold was such a nice man. I have so many great memories of him growing up. He always made me laugh. I know how much you all loved him; he was a lucky man! I hope that you will find comfort in the knowledge that others share your grief with you. Praying that God will see you through this time of sorrow.

Jill, Angie, & Kristi. Your father was truly blessed to have three loving children to care for him the way you all did. You will all be in our thoughts and prayers.

My sympathy goes to the family of Carold. I knew him for many years working at Westvaco - we were even neighbors for a while on Forest Circle. Alan Bills (Beaumont, TX)

Carold was my first cousin. (Bessie Long/Kizer) I met Carold many years ago but lost touch with all of Aunt Evelyn's family. My prayers go out to the family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Douglas family. I learned a great deal from Carold and our mutual days with Westvaco. His wisdom and gentle good humor will long remain in my memories.
