FRANCESCA ODDO Obituary

ODDO, FRANCESCA M. June 19, 1922 to Nov. 25, 2012 Born in Trapani, Sicily, Italy, daughter of Liborio Marchese and Antonietta Poma Marchese. Her brothers, Joseph and Vincenzo, have already passed. Her sons, Frank and Richard Oddo, and grandchildren Lynn and Frank Oddo II survive her. Francesca recorded her amazing life in her autobiography, A La Francesca: If I Can Do It, So Can You. She has gifted over 5,000 copies to inspire others. She became a patent illustrator for GD, Convair, partnered in Oddo Graphics, and did patent drawings for Boeing. In her spare time she learned portrait painting, volunteered in hospitals and child protective agencies, met numerous fascinating people of her time, and built her dream castle. Since 1998, she has lived with her son, Frank, and daughter-in-law, Susan, in their Elfin Forest home. A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
