Frances Swann Obituary

Frances Garrett Swann Columbia, SC- Frances Garrett Swann of Georgetown, South Carolina, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, died Wednesday, July 11, 2018. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Herbert Memorial United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service. Mrs. Swann was born in Rockmart, Georgia, and was the daughter of the late Harrison Dewey Garrett and Rena Inez Smith Garrett. A floral designer by trade, cooking and caring for her friends and family brought her great joy. She served as a den mother and with the hospital auxiliary. Frances was also active in Circle and Sunday School at her church. Survivors include her sons, Harrison (Harriet) of Lakeland, FL, Perry of Columbia, Neal (Lisa) of Georgetown; daughter, Melanie (Scott) of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Heather (Francis) Gilder, Hilary (Wes) Kirkland, Justin (Lindsey) Swann, Richie (Christy) Swann, Garrett Swann, Reed Parker, Ryan Parker; great-grandchildren, Sarah (Jeffrey) Larmore, Justin (Karla) Perkins, Zach Kirkland, Carter Swann and Easton Swann; great-great-grandchildren, Persephone, Parker, Alex and Arabella; sister, Christine Browning of Georgia; and a number of beloved nieces and nephews, all of which she cherished. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Eugene Swann, Jr.; daughter, Candace Gilmer Swann; and sister, Ruby Wilson.
