ECKLAR, Frances BRANCHVILLE, SC - Mrs. Frances Fox Ecklar, 85, of 170 Carpenter Street, Branchville, SC, died early Saturday morning, July 22, 2006. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m., Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg. Rev. Wayne Manning will officiate. Arrangements by THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., IN ORANGEBURG. Mrs. Ecklar was born January 21, 1921, in Norfolk, Va.; a daughter of the late Frank Hiram Fox and the late Reba Steadley McKnight Fox. She was a member of Branchville Christian Church. She was the widow of the late Benjamin Ecklar and was preceded in death by a sister, Reba Crosby. Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Allen (Barbara L.) Douglas of Charlotte, NC; one son, Benjamin Edward Ecklar, Jr., of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; three sisters, Barbara Louise Phillips of Georgetown, SC, Winfred Folsom of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Nina Mae Brown of North Charleston, SC; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Friends may call at THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., in Orangeburg.
