Florence Hughes HANAHAN - Entered into eternal rest on the morning of Thursday, February 25, 2010, Florence Hazel Hughes, widow of Alvin Hughes. Residence, Hanahan, SC. The relatives and friends of Florence Hughes are invited to attend her funeral service in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Saturday, February 27, 2010, at eleven o'clock. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. Friends may call at Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel on Friday, between five and seven o'clock. Mrs. Hughes was born on June 18, 1927 in Nesmith, SC one of five children of John Frank Mobley and Carrie Eva Woodberry. She was a day care worker in Remount Baptist Church. She formerly worked in a dress factory. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Willis and her husband Thomas of Hanahan, SC; grandchildren: James Bowers of Moncks Corner, SC, Larry Bowers and his wife Emily of Virginia Beach, VA, Derek Ayers and his wife Kristina of St. George, SC, Michael Bowers of Moncks Corner, SC, Thomas Adams and his wife Darlene of Moncks Corner, SC, David Adams of Hanahan, SC; sister, Rosa Dean of Georgetown, SC; two great-grandchildren, Mason Ayers and Tucker Ayers. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Bonnie H. Bowers. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of Charleston Foundation, 676 Wando Park Boulevard, Mt.
